Before the start of it, that is. Oh yeah. This one's gonna be humongous. A monster. Probably a three-parter, much of those parts consisting of lots and lots and lots of photos. I've been deleting duds, editing, uploading and captioning photos much of the night, and still have only completed all those steps for...get this...35 pix. Which, be forewarned, you're going to get in just the first post. Yes, you read that right; 35 pix in Madrona post #1 alone, unless LJ has a hissy fit about it. Pack a lunch.
Yeah, I took a shitload. And I haven't even taken photos of the yarn I bought yet. !!!! Or my knee; rather, my leg by now. (You'll get the story of that later, trust me. Oh yeah.)
Anyway, I am going to post most of the ones that turned out well. 'Cause plenty are shots taken from the train on the trip up, and for a change, you'll be getting to see me showing you something of the PNW outside Portland. ;) As opposed to shots of the scenic route back and forth to my doctor's office. <g> Plus shots around Tacoma. Sunday was fantastic, bright and clear and sunny, and the mountain was out (i.e., Mt. Rainier could be seen, instead of modestly hiding behind fog, drizzle, clouds and other sundry precipitation; a rare event), and looking gorgeous, and I was a photographing fiend.
But right now I'm falling asleep. When I type something, then stare at it, wondering if it's spelled correctly and not being able to tell for several minutes, I know I've hit the wall. I'm going to go zonk for a few hours before making the real post. So this is a promissory note for later today. ;) There will, by gum, be a post!
Just not until my eyelids can stay up. <g> Which should hopefully be possible by this afternoon. I'm pretty sure of that, rather than it being late tonight, because right now it's 8:45 a.m. PST, and I don't think I'll be zonking for anything like 15 hours. But I might go 6 to 8 hours. You do the resulting time zone calculations, I'm too groggy. Whatever, I should be able to get the sucker up a few hours after I stagger out of bed.
Well, I've gotta write something more than just photo captions, after all.
So check back later today, ok? See ya!
