Sock Summit Soon!

Now what's she going on about?

Yattering about whatever comes into my head. Could be knitting, jewelry making, books... But just as likely to be my state of mind, or family history. No one ever said I stayed focused.

Sock Summit Soon!

Hi there! Yes, it's been ages, but hopefully - cross fingers - I'm back, and I'll be starting out with Sock Summit, where'll I'll be every day it runs. This is just a quickie head's-up. <g> Spent the afternoon at the CC yesterday after registration, talking to the PDX Knit Bloggers gang, and whoever dropped by; did manage to get some pix already. (Did not manage any knitting, as usual, LOL. Except for a teeny swatch for the sock I'm starting.) Then made the mistake of getting on Ravelry while eating dinner and winding down, and hit the wall. Ahh, the best-laid intentions... Well, I was tired. <g> Back in late April I got diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, and then there's this polyp (benign, you don't have to worry) I'm getting taken care of on the 12th, and my computer up and died the first week of June - geeze, every three years like clockwork, is it a plot? - and it's been interesting, y'know? And tiring. But I'm getting more energetic now, thank ghu.

So, despite lackadaisically paving hell last night - you know, good intentions ;) - gonna do my best to make a post after the reception tonight. I'm going to head over there around noonish, and spend the day hanging out again. I didn't get into any classes, but have tix for the reception and the Luminary panel; and the PDXKB plan to stake out a table to gather at every day. (We'll be the really noisy ones with the blue buttons of a sheep with a laptop, under an umbrella). We already met some Ravelers (hi, maryquitecontrary, littlemousling!), talked to the Knitmore Girls, got our schwag, and aside from collecting hugs from local friends I haven't seen for ages, I had a wonderful hug with RachelHoftheComments!

It was a great beginning. See you there!

  • Socks!

So sorry to hear about the recent problems, but glad you're hanging in there. How nice of them to have a sock summit in your back yard!

Have fun, and blog all about it!
    • Re: Socks!

::hugs:: Thanks, hon! And it is, isn't it? How lucky can you get?

I'm having a great time! Too tired to add the babble tonight, so the next post is directing everyone to my Flickr for the pix; I'll make a proper post with pix and captions after I get home tomorrow. It's been a looong day today; it's 1:54am; and I have to get up early to get to the marketplace at a reasonable hour. So at least you can look at pix and wonder "who the heck is that?" until I get the real post up. ;)

      G'night until tomorrow!
